The Project
The Sachal Wind Power Project is a renewable energy project located in Jhimpir, Thatta District, Sindh Province, Pakistan.
Developed by Sachal Energy Development (Pvt) Ltd., the project consists of 33 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 49.5 MW.
Harnessing the region’s wind resources, the project is designed to supply approximately 136,500 MWh of renewable electricity annually to Pakistan’s national electricity grid. By replacing electricity that would otherwise be generated by predominantly fossil fuel-fired power plants, the project reduces greenhouse gas emissions while supporting the development of Pakistan’s renewable energy sector.

The project is estimated to reduce approximately 84,804 t CO2-e per year by replacing fossil fuel-based grid electricity with renewable wind energy.
