The Project
The Ningxia Xiangshan Wind Farm Project is a renewable energy project located in Zhongwei City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, China.
The project comprises 265 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 397.5 MW, generating renewable electricity for the Northwest Power Grid via the Ningxia Power Grid.
By harnessing the region’s wind resources, the project supplies approximately 950,000 MWh of renewable electricity annually, replacing electricity that would otherwise be generated by predominantly fossil fuel-based power plants. This reduces greenhouse gas emissions while supporting China’s transition towards a more diverse and renewable energy supply.
